General Geocaching:
All websites are required (by some weird Internet law) to have links so here are a few:
-
- Indiana Geocachers Facebook page: this is a very active and positive page that covers all of Indiana. There are other regional groups that are great to join if you have not already
- Northwest Indiana Geocachers Facebook page: for those of you in the Northwest area or just like being in the know for more regional activities and friends…this is the page.
- Northeast Indiana Geocachers Facebook page: here is a great Facebook page for those of you in Northeast Indiana or just want to connect with the cachers in the area.
- Southern Indiana Geocachers Facebook page: Great page for connecting with cachers and cache owners in the southern parts of Indiana.
- Indy Area Geocachers Facebook page: Central Indiana has some really great cachers and cache owners. This page has some of the greatest members and definitely is one you should join if you have not already.
- http://www.geocaching.com – geocaching’s main site, it’s where you go to find caches, log caches, stuff like that. The cool kids call it “gc.com”
- Indiana’s State Page on gc.com (see, I’m one of the cool kids) Quick summary of the latest events, caches, and trackables placed in the state. Includes shortcuts to a list of the caches in most major metropolitan areas (populations over 20,000)
- Geocaching Wiki – Groundspeak’s wiki dealing with cache placement guidelines for Indiana. This is a detailed list of where caches are allowed and what you need to do before placing a cache (permits, etc.)
